Is the gelatin in your capsules Kosher? |
|
Is the gelatin in your capsules Kosher? What are they made from? The gelatin capsules on our products are BOVINE. They are not Kosher in the sense that they specifically have been certified by a Rabbi, but the gelatin is the best available product available. The facility where the encapsulation is done is certified Kosher. An option is to use our Mixed Tocopherols OIL product, which is certified Kosher, Halal and Vegan. |

Can vitamin E build in your system? |
|
I have heard that vitamin E and other oil vitamin can build in your system is this possible or is this a rumor. Regarding toxicity – many vitamin E products have been shown to build up in the liver. UNIQUE E® is a pure, all-natural form of Vitamin E and contains no additional oils that could do this. Our E gets right to work in your body, and what isn’t used by the cells is passed out of your system and not stored in the liver. |

I was reading that in a recent study (SELECT), it was found that vitamin E may be harmful. Please review our website (especially the page about the different types of Vitamin E on the market today – Recommended Dosage Then, please notice what type of vitamin E was used in the test you refer to: 16. How much vitamin E was being used in SELECT? What risks were involved? The amount of vitamin E (provided as dl-alpha-tocopherol acetate) was 400 milligrams (mg), which is equivalent to 400 International Units (IU) per day. There have been many negative reports about vitamin E over the years, and if you were to do a search on them, you will find that almost all tests use an inferior form of vitamin E as the test material. Read a letter from our founder about the history of Vitamin E and how its REAL benefits have been suppressed for decades -- Founder Letter |

I want to dispense a smaller dose of the tocopherol oil. Is it possible to open the top and use a dropper? What type of container does this product come in? I am concerned about plastic leaching. You can dispense from the 1-oz bottle using the pump attached – 1/4 teaspoon equals 1 capsule (400 I.U. of alpha-tocopherol + gamma, beta and delta). You can take the pump off and pour or even use an eye dropper if you wish. We recommend not taking the pump off unless you plan to use the product up with a few months due to the possibility of oxidation. Leaving the pump on protects the product from the air. The container is white opaque glass – we use glass for the very reason you are concerned with. |
