Frequently Asked Questions

Difference between the tocopherols and tocotrienols

What is the difference between the tocopherols and the tocotrienols? This is my first time taking vitamin E and am a little confused as to which one to take. Vitamin E has eight isomers in its molecular chain --- alpha, beta, gamma and delta Tocopherols, and alpha, beta, gamma and delta Tocotrienols. Our products are designed to separate the tocopherols as our MIXED TOCOPHEROLS CONCENTRATE and the tocotrienols (from the Annatto Bean) as our TOCOTRIENOLS. Our doctors inform us that each product has beneficial value to the human body in different ways. They suggest that if you want to choose between the two products, to provide the maximum E benefits provided by our MIXED TOCOPHEROLS CONCENTRATE, which have been recognized for over 46 years. However, our Tocotrienols are also very beneficial for specific health area focus such as Diabetes and Cholesterol, among others. They do suggest taking the two products apart from each other (Tocopherols in the morning with your meal, and Tocotrienols in the evening with your meal). More information can be found on our website – www.acgrace.com. As always, with any dietary supplement, it is a good idea to discuss questions with your doctor. If you would like us to direct you to one of our doctors who use and provide our E products to their patients, for more information, we will be happy to do that.

How to make sure I am getting all 8 parts of vitamin E

What would I take of your products to make sure I am getting all 8 parts of vitamin E? Our doctors suggest taking the MIXED TOCOPHEROLS in the morning with your meal and the TOCOTRIENOLS in the evening with your meal. This will give you the full benefits of the eight isomers in vitamin E – alpha, beta, gamma and delta tocopherol, and alpha, beta, gamma and delta tocotrienol. Many studies show that the key isomers in vitamin E are alpha and gamma mostly with delta and beta to a lesser degree.

Serving Size?

What is the source of your Vitamin E?

What is the source of your Vitamin E? Regarding the source and contents of our Mixed Tocopherols – the source for the product is soybean oil. However, A.C. Grace uses a proprietary distillation process that extracts all soy oil out of the Vitamin E oil, thus providing a pure, natural form. So, inside the capsule or pump bottle is a pure, natural concentrate mix of alpha, beta, gamma and delta tocopherols with no fillers, additives, colors, wheat, gluten, soy oil, soy protein or flax. Regarding the source and contents of our Tocotrienols – the source for the product is the Annatto Bean. The same processes are used to provide a pure Tocotrienol product with NO additives, etc. Our capsules are a beef gelatin. Our product is certified to be PCR-negative which is the industry recognized classification for products that have been produced, and distilled, to remove any and all contaminates that could affect purity.
