Can I take your Vitamin E while nursing?

Can I take your Vitamin E while nursing? Most definitely.  Since Vitamin E is very poorly transferred across placental membrane.  The newborn depends upon the Vitamin E contained in colostrum and milk to meets its Vitamin E needs.  Since the mother can not synthesize Vitamin E, she depends upon her diet to meet her Vitamin E needs.  It has been shown that supplemental Vitamin E and mixed tocopherols as found in UNIQUE E® are an excellent source of Vitamin E and a very good way to assure that the infant is getting adequate Vitamin E in the milk.  As far as toxicity is concerned, there are no data suggesting that pregnant or lactating women should not take Vitamin E supplements.
