| Where does Kosher Beef Gelatin come from? Kosher bovine gelatin is a protein found in the hooves, bones, and connective tissues of cows. A. C. Grace Company has always used bovine (beef) gelatin to be able to provide our products to customers who have dietary restrictions in regards to pork products. Pork geletain is more readily available, and less costly for companies to use in production. Just as we go the extra mile in our distillation process to provide ONLY PURE VITAMIN E OIL, we also choose to avoid the 'cheap' gelatin for our softgels. Furthermore, we continue to work with our suppliers to find a vegetarian softgel solution. The problem (good problem) is that because our Vitamin E oil is so viscous (thick) due to its purity, we have not been able to find a vegetarian capsule material that will contain the oil without cracking the sofgel and ultimately leaking. |
